Meeting with Clémence, #YUJgirl

Presentation :
My name is Clémence, I'm 36 years old and I live on the Basque Coast in Saint Jean de Luz. I am a mother of an adorable 22 month old baby boy and I quit my job to become a yoga teacher a few months ago. I am sporty (Fitness, Stand up paddle, snowboard....) and I love to travel. I like to cook "healthy" and Asian.

When and how did you get this interest in yoga?
I took my first yoga class 12 years ago in my gym. I was immediately seduced by the physical side while listening to his body and the letting go it gave me. I then did Ashtanga for a few years and discovered Vinyasa 3 years ago. It was a revelation for me, a thunderbolt and I immediately knew that I wanted to make it my job. It took 2 years and a baby for me to finally dare to take the leap and go all out.

What does this represent in your daily life?
Yoga is an integral part of my daily life, it is a balance. Before becoming a teacher I only thought about going to my yoga class during my lunch break. Now I practice every day, for myself or to prepare for my lessons. It's a lifestyle, a state of mind, it allows me to refocus on myself and live in the present moment. It calms me and allows me to better understand everyday life.

Do you find time to practice during your travels?
Yes, in the morning when my loves are still sleeping at least 30 min.

What is your favorite YUJ product?
I love them all but my Palmpant leggings are my favourite, they're like a second skin!

The world

What is your favorite country so far?
India remains a fascinating country for me, I went there twice and I know I would go back. It is a bubbling country with many facets. I really like Southeast Asia (Cambodia, Vietman, Indo) for its landscapes, its fauna, its people, and its zenitude (outside the big cities)

Good addresses to share?
A lot!
The Teapot in Fort Cochin in India for its succulent "Death by Chocolate", The Roti shop in Hikkaduwa in Sri Lanka, local canteen, The Mango Retreat on Gili Air, a haven of peace in the heart of the island, the Bistrot du Mata at the bottom of my house on the beach of Erromardie, splendid sunsets, friendly and family atmosphere .....

For you, "the place to be" is it?
Anywhere with my family!
Otherwise at the top of Adam's Peak in Sri Lanka, an unforgettable moment of a Buddhist ceremony at sunrise

indiscretions

In the cinema, which actors/directors make you dream?
Leonardo Di Caprio, for his films and his commitment to the protection of the environment and wildlife

A quote that defines you?
"Travel is a return to basics" Tibetan proverb. Translated into Sanskrit by a friend and tattooed on my trapeze.

What does a day in the life of Clémence look like?
Wake up at 7:30 a.m., meditation, lemon water, a few sun salutations and stretching, shower, waking up my son, hug, breakfast, if I drop him off at the nanny's I go to my studio for a hour of power lesson, beach, paddle depending on the weather, lunch or tea with a friend, preparation for my lessons and I pick up my son at the end of the afternoon. Otherwise day with my son, games, walks, yoga but less concentrated! and in the evening a little tour on social networks to feed my facebook and instagram pages and meditation if I didn't have time in the morning.
