A brief overview
Can you introduce yourself ? Be, (hardly anyone calls me Bérénice) I'm turning 30 next month. I have a bac +5 in law specializing in Commerce and Finance and a mediator diploma. This led me to live in St Barths for 5 years where I am now a certified yoga and barre teacher.
When and how did this passion for yoga come to you? I set foot in my first yoga class exactly 4 years ago, I had returned to Normandy for a few months.
It was a Hatha class, in a MJC, the teacher was old, and very weird, but I was captivated, by the way it had silenced this little inner voice, which at the time was driving me completely crazy. .
I was torn between my profession as a lawyer and the furious desire to get away from it all. In the end, I fell in love with yoga, and left everything to come and settle permanently, here in this little corner of paradise.

What does this represent in your daily life? Teacher for 5 years (I did my training in Bali), yoga has become more than a passion, since I give classes every day, in the gym of the island, in an association and in the hotels and villas, in private.
We live thanks to tourism, yoga and barre are a real demand.
The international community of yogis is growing day by day!
It's a real gift to be able to share what I love, to calm the spirits, to reconnect my students with their bodies, to guide them to the present moment, and to see the relaxed faces and the smiles on their lips after Savasana .

Do you find time to practice during your travels? Always ! That's what keeps me going most of the time. Take a break and rediscover my creativity. On vacation or not, I always look for the studios at my destination and take lessons every day.
I try to vary the styles and the teachers to be able to immerse myself as much as possible and recharge the batteries.

What is your favorite YUJ product? The OMM sweatshirt , probably because here with a year-round tropical climate, I dream of a good fire, a big sweater and an animal skin. I love it, classic and vintage at the same time. Essential for traveling!
The world
What is your favorite country so far? Hmm... hard to say... I still have so much to see!
I would say Bali. The people are so nice, welcoming and good. Life is punctuated by rituals, songs, yoga, flowers, etc... the dream!
The landscapes are breathtaking.

For you, "the place to be" is it? My "place to be" for this year would be the WANDERLUST yoga festival in the USA or Canada.
I dream of it, but it's not always a win-win situation, but I'm going to do my best to go there this year!

In the cinema, which actors/directors make you dream? Arf, difficult... I would say Léonardo Dicaprio and Marion Cotillard.
Leo for his mysterious side, and his incredible acting qualities, in any role! In addition, he comes to Saint Barth every year, it's always a great moment!
Marion, for her chic & glamorous French side and her softness.
All their films are a hit!

A quote that defines you? "I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul." It's by Mandela and tattooed on my arm.
This is also why I called my company " BE YOURSELF ".

What does a day in the life of Be look like? Not one is alike. We have a high and low season. We will say that on average if I condense a day it generally gives:
5:45 - Short Pranayama session in bed. Up, breakfast and I go to my first group yoga or barre class at 7 or 8 am at the latest.
2nd breakfast with my sister who lives next to the studio. In the morning I devour! Then, most often I have another yoga or barre class in private, either in a hotel, a villa or with locals, depending on the requests.
Between 12 p.m. & 2 p.m. - Either I go to the gym for my little session, or I train with a pole dancer friend (stretch, yoga, dance, acroyoga), or a barre or yoga class on the app "Cody".

Afternoon :
- lunch, then a meditative nap (right now I'm meditating with Deepak Chopra, he regularly offers a 21-day cycle of meditation, I admit, mine is more like a guided savasana)
And then work:
- I love updating my playlists, but you also have to take care of the paperwork.
- I try to read a lot of other yoga teachers, yoga journal, international yoga and everything related to nutrition too, I love it! I would dream of writing for a magazine!
I often save 1 or 2 hours for the creation of my lessons, I'm always looking for new interesting flows and I do the tests in the middle of my living room.
My day often ends with a last group or private lesson in the evening.
