Meeting with Aline, #YUJgirl

A brief overview

Can you introduce yourself ? My name is Aline, I am 32 years old and I am an Integral Yoga teacher in Montpellier as part of my association Yogami Montpellier. Settled in the south for a little less than a year, I take advantage of the chance to live in the sun and near the sea!

When and how did this passion for yoga come to you? I started practicing yoga 6 years ago, with Anne-Marie, Hatha Yoga teacher. Here is a link from my blog. I felt the need to take care of myself and was going through a phase of questioning. My work in the event industry took a lot of energy from me. Initially, I just went “to Yoga” without being fully conscious on the mat. Then gradually, it became a vital need, I went to class 2 to 3 times a week. I have traveled a lot and thanks to Yoga I can travel inside myself, my sensations, my emotions. It reconciles me with myself. The teacher training was obvious, reorienting my life towards the essentials. Integral Yoga corresponded completely to me by its subtlety and its therapeutic approach. The work of half-postures inspires a lot of creativity in the construction of series, I like to leave my imagination to support the course on visualizations. I made precious encounters in my Culture Yoga training center and this one-year intensive training revealed me to myself. I have found my place and feel fulfilled thanks to Yoga.

What does this represent in your daily life? All ! Yoga completely fills my life! For the past year, I have devoted myself fully to Yoga and its teaching. I want to be able to share how the practice has supported me and helped me through difficult times and how today I continue to evolve thanks to the lessons I receive and put into practice on a daily basis. Each place I go, each person I meet brings me a little more each time to apply daily yoga.

The world

What is your favorite country so far? I have traveled a lot, I even took a sabbatical year in 2009 to travel around the world! But if I had to talk about a country today, it's Thailand. I was touched by the warmth of the Thais, their smile, their relationship to spirituality and this country is so rich in magnificent landscapes.
Good addresses to share? Not really addresses.. I would rather advise to let yourself be carried away, to discover and to venture. Surprises, novelty, there is nothing better!

For you, is “the place to be”? On the carpet ! Stop running, take time for yourself, lay down on the ground, and unroll your carpet even 5 minutes a day to settle in Savasana and breathe consciously.

indiscretions

In the cinema, which actors/directors make you dream? I really like going to the cinema, being able to immerse myself in a universe and be completely immersed. Wes Anderson's cinema has this effect on me! His films are always colourful, the sequence shots impressive, there is humor and depth at the same time. Aquatic Life, Darjeling Unlimited, the Grand Budapest Hotel are my favorites, I always see them with pleasure.

A quote that defines you? Behind the clouds, there is always a sky. Mûhammad Al-Faytûry Sudanese poet | Born in 1930 I discovered this quote at a time when I had lost the optimism that has always characterized me! It spoke to me a lot and since then everything is going well!

A day in the life of Aline, Yogami, what does it look like? I get up very early, around 6am. It's crazy how much you can do early in the morning! A little, a lot active on social networks… I do my watch and organize my schedule for the day. Then depending on the program of the day, either I do my personal practice or I leave to give a course. At the moment I have 4 group lesson slots and I also give private lessons at home. I spend a lot of time at the Studio des Cristalliers where I give several of my collective classes and where I work on various workshop projects, internships and events. It is a very pleasant, beautiful and zen place with its Japanese influences. The afternoon is devoted to appointments, meetings, I also swim regularly or if I want to calm down I go home to work on my lessons and my research. Teacher but still student too! And in the evening I leave to give my lessons!
