A brief overview
Can you introduce yourself ? My name is Coelia (pronounced Célia), I'm 26 years old and currently live on planes, because I'm a flight attendant. I'm just finishing my contract and leaving in April for Koh Samui to pass my yoga teacher diploma and embark on this new adventure full time, while continuing to fly only occasionally in the middle of the world. private aviation.
When and how did this passion for yoga come to you? I practiced rhythmic gymnastics for more than 20 years at a very fast pace. When I stopped, I really wanted to rediscover the sensations one experiences when one is passionate about a sport. Yoga has really brought me peace and dynamism in my daily life.
What does this represent in your daily life? Yoga allows me to refocus on myself. My job puts me under a lot of pressure. I have to manage more than 400 passengers and around ten cabin crew. The different jet lags, the lack of sleep are daily lot. Yoga therefore allows me to breathe a little, and has really helped me to put things into perspective both on board and in everyday life.
Do you find time to practice between all your travels? The advantage of yoga is that I can take my mat in my suitcase and practice anywhere. From my hotel room, to the beaches of Mauritius, or even in the desert in Dubai, the options are endless!
The world
What is your favorite country so far? I really fell in love with Russia, which is a country very rich in history and with atypical architecture. The city of Moscow is full of colors and Russian culture is omnipresent there. I remember a walk near the red square, musicians were playing a popular song there and the passers-by all started dancing together inviting me to join the troupe. A great moment of very typical and original sharing!
Good addresses to share? To eat a good brunch in Dubai, the Shakespeare and Co restaurant, the gluten-free menu is quite impressive and the Alice in Wonderland type decor transports us. The MBK shopping center in Bangkok, Thailand, where I always find cool and very inexpensive outfits. The Amarvillas Oberoi hotel in Agra, India, probably the most impressive and wonderful view I have ever seen (of the Taj Mahal).
For you, is “the place to be”? The New York Strala of course! A must visit place for all yogis. Tara Stiles teaches there herself. She is super affordable and her sessions are real breaths of fresh air.

In the cinema, which actors/directors make you dream? I love the simplicity of Shailene Woodley, as well as her style... or even Emily Blunt who I find sublime in Victoria, the young years of a queen. Let's not forget the essential Leonardo DiCaprio! Who has never been secretly madly in love with him? :D
A quote that defines you? “You travel around the world looking for something, and you come home to find it” George Moore
What does a day in the life of Coelia Leonard-Pelletier look like? The advantage of my job is that the days are never alike. The schedules vary, the people we meet are different every day. When I wake up, I always take a big mug of tea, it's kind of my boost to get started! Suitcase to do and redo… Departure two and a half hours before the flight, to prepare the briefing with the team. Meeting with my colleagues and departure for a new destination. Arriving at the hotel, a good shower to release the tension accumulated during the flight. If the weather allows me I put on my sneakers to go run a few kilometers. Nothing like treading the asphalt to discover certain cities. Return to the hotel for a good yoga session to end the day gently and calmly. A short night, or a siesta and it's already time to leave for new adventures at 10,000 meters above sea level.
