A brief overview
Can you introduce yourself ? My name is Gwen and I'm 27 years old. Originally from Nantes, I traveled between my native region and the moors to finally put my suitcases and my yoga mat in Vendée!
I did a Master 2 in product design focused on responsible innovations; encompassing ecology and health. Diploma in my pocket, I made a change of path towards food in order to apply my creativity in the service of "eating better". I am freshly certified "nutrition consultant" and Ashtanga yoga teacher. This summer I am launching my BÔM project of yoga classes, advice and cooking classes.
I end my day with my man and my two big cats... And I go to bed early!
When and how did this passion for yoga come to you? I started in high school and it was a real discovery both physically and spiritually. At the time I was doing a little competitive swimming and yoga really allowed me to carry out daily training and schooling. I was also the director of a summer camp for several summers and I believe that it was at this time that I gave my first yoga "classes".
What does this represent in your daily life? Many things because yoga is a lifestyle. I practice Ashtanga and it has become a real line of conduct for me. During my practice I am in my bubble and this represents the pleasure of rigor and concentration. It's a moment that belongs to me. My daily yoga also includes a more chosen diet and respect for the species around us.
Do you find time to practice during your travels? I love to practice during my travels! This is an opportunity to discover new studios, new teachers and above all new techniques.
What is your favorite YUJ product? If I had to choose, I would say the mat and the towel! I love their vibrant colors that give me pep! The towel is precisely the ideal object to have and to carry everywhere! The mat is excellent for my "dynamic" yoga practice. It is easy to clean, confirmed it and very non-slip! Well, I also like the little cotton bags in which I can put all my little mess (useful or not) shells, pens, hair ties, coconut oil... On the textile side, my Must have is leggings CLOUD easy to match and natural pattern... I love it!
The world
What is your favorite country so far? I will answer Bali I find that it is the place par excellence to be calm between the sea and yoga... What I particularly like! And then I love the charm of the islands. Closer, the islands of Brittany and Vendée are also full of charm and character where time stands still.
Good addresses to share? If you come to St Gilles Croix de Vie, go do some shopping with your man at Pointbreak surf shop . More than a surf shop with pretty brands and quality boards, you can admire some relics of Kelly Slater and other famous surfers!
Then, spin on the embankment and stop at Theospot at the end of the afternoon. You will find a warm team, great atypical drinks and delicious homemade tapas to enjoy facing the sea!
Finally, push a little towards Bretignolles sur Mer and go and taste the "bois d'amour" galette from Alexandria at the Mille Sabord ... A real delight for the taste buds!
If by chance you go to Bali, put your suitcases down at Mū Bali .... Idyllic setting and change of scenery guaranteed!
For you, is “the place to be”? On top of a cliff with sea views before, during and after a storm!

In the cinema, which actors/directors make you dream? On the cinema side, I remain a big fan of the worlds of Tim Burton and Pedro Almodovar. I am also very fond of series and period films like bopics. But hey, to be honest with you, I love peplums above all else... I never get tired of seeing men running around in breastplates and little Spartans, screaming full of sweat.
A quote that defines you? I would say the one that appears on my Oscar Wilde site: "Be yourself because the others are already taken".
What does a day in the life of Gwendoline look like? It gives a very early rise around 5:30 am. The opportunity to do some sport, read a few pages of a book and have a good breakfast in front of my interrupted series from the day before. I like to start the day without running after time! At the moment I am working hard to promote my activity and prepare for my season. As soon as I can take a little break, I get into the kitchen. When I get a satisfactory result, I share my recipes on my blog.
